10 Promises to Myself to Keep Forever..

I have developed into a very well-rounded young lady, I have a healthy respect and appreciation for life, for the less fortunate and for my many blessings. I intend to live a life that allows me to embrace and realise my goals, while making time to give back to my community. I am grateful for each day. I view each day as an opportunity to grow, aspire and to achieve and wishes that everyone would also view things from this perspective.

When you love and appreciate yourself, respect the opinion of others. It makes life easier..
It took me a few years to realise that the only person who keeps me back from achieving my goals is me. Our mind is like a very powerful muscle so when we plan our future, thinking we need our family and friends to like and decide whether we are going to be successful or not, we end up living our lives based on the standards of others.
Life is simply amazing and we should not wait to accomplish all our goals and desires in order to realise that.
I have decided to make 10 promises to myself to keep Forever, and I hope to inspire everyone who reads this:
" I promise..."
* To never doubt myself - Self Doubt is very powerful, it is a negative voice we hear replaying in our mind. Often times this is what keeps us back from succeeding . To improve my ways of thought, i will keep a journal and write down everything that comes to mind, positive things of course.
* To not let my past determine my future - I need to take responsibility for my happiness. I should stop overthinking of what happened in my past and think of how i can better myself and not repeat the same mistakes. No more stories of what should have been, no more blaming or waiting for solutions. I shall reveal my happiness and peace.
* To write down my thoughts/ ideas/ goals and work towards them daily - Writing my goals down not only forces me to get clear on what exactly it is that i want to accomplish, but doing so plays a part in motivating me to complete the tasks necessary for my success. The process of putting my goals on paper will help me to strategise, track my current progress and brainstorm my plans so that i can fulfill them.
* To listen to my mind, heart and soul - Deep down your heart knows what is best and i believe in listening to my conscious mind as it helps me to decide what i should or should not do. I plan to pay more attention to my feelings and make decisions that would give me peace of mind and not do something someone else chooses for me.
* To celebrate & appreciate the life I have with people who love and genuinely care and support my wellbeing - The more time you spend around either a positive or negative person, the more you feed off of thier energy. I intend to surround myself with people who highly motivates me to push for my goal and never give up despite the challenges that may occur.
* To continuously push beyond my previous levels of accomplishment - My aim is to try new and exciting ideas that is out of my norm, Ideas that i was afraid of trying because of my self doubt. I am willing and in the right frame of mind to push myself to gain more knowledge and better my craft in whatever field I choose.
* To embrace the changes I know I need to make - I am aware of my strengths as well as my weaknesses. Everyone is not perfect so i am never ashamed of your flaws . I am open to accepting criticism and making the necessary changes to create a better version of myself.
* To maintain a healthier lifestyle by consuming the right foods and keeping up with my workout routines - No pain no gain. I have reach the limits of wishing i had a ''well fit body''. I do workout but my intention is to avoid eating at fast food restaurant, buy healthier products and cook home meals. I will keep up with my days of training and exceed my limits with higher intensity workout.
* To get my bachelors degree in Marketing - I will spend more time studying and gaining more knowledge in the field. To effectively manage my time, i will put together a scheduled time table and carry out my studies as plan.
* To encourage myself to personally excel - I believe in myself, although at times i depend on little motivation. To encourage myself to excel, i will reflect on my life growing up and the opportunities i did not have, the sacrifices my parents and mentors made for me to get to where i am today, and use that as fuel to persevere.
Don't ever hesitate to give yourself a chance to be everything you are capable of being.
I've spent so long telling myself i will maintain the courage necessary to chase my dream. The time has come. So far so good.
